When troubleshooting, I am having issues with the internal microphone. The input does not show up so I am unsure how to troubleshoot it.

It is in the device manager?

If so, possibly windows installed an update that is not designed for your PC.

Usually there will be a red or yellow icon next to it indicating a problem with the driver.

If no microphone shows up then select the "Show hidden devices" and see if it appears.

If a red X or yellow icon, just delete the driver and reboot.  Windows may find the correct one.

If not, then I need to know the exact model of your notebook or the product ID.

Alternately, go here and enter your serial number, select the correct OS and install the latest audio driver.
