Internal plays back with static

I have tried all of the trouble shooting options available.  I have deleted, uninstalled, reinstalled, recovered, downloaded, etc.  When I try to use my internal microphone, (for Screencastify & Webex, etc), it doesn't play back right.  When it records, the green bars will go up and down.  But when played back, all I hear is muffled static.  My speakers are fine.  I have tested, configured, and preferrenced them properly.  I have tried just about everything but I'm hoping someone has another option for me??
And let me repeat, I have tried EVERYTHING on the troubleshooting page for microphones....not one thing helped.

I don't want to return the chromebook, but if you can't help me I'm going to have to return it and purchase another brand.

Since you have already performed all the troubleshooting steps, I suggest you perform a Power wash
