Hi @5CG7066426

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you've encountered a frustrating issue with your laptop's audio speaker. From what you've shared, it seems you've already taken significant steps to address the problem by changing the motherboard and replacing the speaker. Despite these efforts, the speaker is not producing sound. Let's explore some potential solutions that could help resolve this issue:

Check Audio Settings: Make sure the audio is not muted or set at a very low volume in your operating system's sound settings. Also, check if the correct playback device is selected as the default device.

Update Audio Drivers: Outdated or incorrect audio drivers can cause sound problems. Visit the laptop manufacturer's website, find the support section for your specific model, and download the latest audio drivers.

Test with External Speakers or Headphones: To rule out the possibility of a software issue, try connecting external speakers or headphones. If these work, the problem might be isolated to the internal speaker connections or components.

Recheck the Speaker Connections: Since the speaker was replaced, there's a chance that the connection between the speaker and the motherboard might not be secure or properly aligned. Revisit the internal connections to ensure everything is correctly connected.

BIOS Settings: Sometimes, audio issues can stem from settings in the BIOS. Access the BIOS setup on your laptop and look for audio-related settings that might be disabled or configured incorrectly.

Hardware Diagnostics: Some laptops come with built-in hardware diagnostics tools. Run these diagnostics to check for any hardware issues that might be affecting the speaker.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
