HP Elite Dragonfly Notebook PC IDS Base Model

Dear HP Support Team,
I am experiencing an issue with using a SIM card on my HP laptop. When I insert the SIM card, it does not function, and I am unable to use it for internet access or calls.

To clarify:
•I am using the same laptop model and generation as my friend, and their SIM card works perfectly on their device.
•I have checked the laptop settings, but the issue persists.
Could you please assist me in identifying the cause of this problem? Is it related to drivers, settings, or device compatibility with the SIM card?
•I have another problem with the battery, it no longer works. I use it all the time with the charger only.
Thank you for your support. I look forward to your response.
Best regards,

Hi:

This is a peer-to-peer forum.

We do not work for or represent HP.

Most likely your HP Elite Dragonfly Notebook PC does not have the optional WWAN adapter that is needed to connect to a cellular service and your friend's notebook does.

In order for the SIM card to work, your notebook must have a WWAN adapter model listed in the device manager under the Network adapters device manager category.

Check your friend's notebook's device manager so you can see what model WWAN adapter is showing up in his notebook.

I'm sure you will find that your notebook is missing that adapter.

There will just be a Wi-Fi and ethernet adapter listed there.

I wouldn't be able to help you with the battery issue.
