HP Pavilion Sleekbook 14
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Bought this HP Sleekbook 14-b015dx 6 years ago, so it came with Windows 8. Everything was fine. Updated to Windows 10 a couple years ago, everything still fine. Now after every new update, the drivers for the stock speakers makes them sound so lighter. Quality remains the same, but the volume is so faint. The first couple times I updated, the HP Support Assistant found an update for them and once updated, they worked fine. This latest update made them wonky again and there is no update available.

I have tried the uninstall driver and reboot trick, and I just keep searching for the latest driver. No luck.

edit: Just flashed the bios to the most recent version from the HP website, restarted laptop, then uninstalled the drivers again and restarted. Still no improvement.

Product is C2K06UA#ABA

Ok. After trying out the basic troubleshooting posted by the HP support staff. I got nothing. Then I read one post that mentioned that the driver should be from Windows 8 since this laptop was originally Windows 8. Went to that page on the Drivers page anddownloaded and installed the Audio driver for the laptop from back in 2012 when it was manufactured. Success. No thanks to this post really. I thought I'd post this resolution for the next time someone's post gets ignored and they have to dig.
