Laptop audio issue

To better understand the issue, could you please provide a few more details?

 

  • Are you facing no sound at all, distorted sound, or intermittent audio?
  • Does the issue occur with built-in speakers, headphones, or external devices?

In the meantime, here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:

  1. Check Volume & Mute Settings – Ensure the laptop isn’t muted and the volume is turned up.
  2. Verify Output Device – Right-click the sound icon in the taskbar → Sound settings → confirm the correct output device is selected.
  3. Update Audio Drivers – Open Device Manager, expand Sound, video and game controllers, right-click your audio device, and select Update driver.
  4. Run Windows Troubleshooter – Go to Settings > System > Sound > Troubleshoot to let Windows automatically detect and fix issues.
  5. Restart Your Laptop – Sometimes a simple restart can refresh the audio system.
