Don't worry, I'm here to help! To better assist you -

1) May I have the exact model name of the computer? Refer to this link for steps to find the product details.

2) Have you tried any troubleshooting steps before contacting us on HP Forums?

In the meantime, let's try these steps -

1) In Windows, search for and open Device Manager.
2) Expand the Imaging Devices.
3) Right-click on the HP Webcam and select Uninstall.
4) Confirm the uninstallation.
5) Restart the computer to reinstall the Webcam driver.

Thanks for getting back to us. Have you tried to uninstall the drivers from the device manager? I have mentioned the steps in my previous post.

Once you restart the computer, the drivers will get automatically installed.

I tried everything except system restore because Windows will update it again and the same thing will happen. Has anyone with a Truevision webcam ever had the problem solved?

Thanks for replying. May I have the exact model name of the computer? Refer to this document for steps to find the product details. I'd suggest you try creating a new user account and check for the functionality -

1) Tap the Windows icon.

2) Select Settings.

3) Tap Accounts.

4) Select Family & other users.

5) Tap "Add someone else to this PC."

6) Select "I don't have this person's sign-in information."

7) Select "Add a user without a Microsoft account."

😎 Enter a username, type the account's password twice, enter a clue and select Next.

9) Tap the Windows icon.

10) Select the User icon at the upper left corner of the Start menu.

11) Select the new user. You'll then sign into your account with your password from step 8.

Let me know how that pans out.

Have a great weekend.

Maybe the connector is not completely detached, it could be a bad connection, start with the connector around the screen, it's the easiest to do. Here is a video for replacing the screen, you just need to take out the bezel and verify the connector for the webcam. But be careful not to damage the screen. If you are not comfortable, don't try it.

Would you be able to supply me with a generic camera driver for windows 10 64 bit?
