Product: HP Laptop 14s-dq2xxx
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

When I plug in a lavalier microphone into the headphone port on my new HP Laptop 14s-dq2xxx (Windows 11), it is detected as a pair of headphones.

I have tried everything I can find in the setting to add it as a new device, uninstall and reinstall the drivers, check for driver updates, making sure my applications have microphone access, and everything seems to be working correctly. Is my device just incompatible with microphones that use the headphone port?
