The left speaker on this laptop seems to be mostly blown out, as it is super tinny while the right speaker still seems to work correctly.
This is new: both speakers were working OK yesterday.
I found this video on replacing the speaker
and it appears to be the exact laptop I have. I think this is what I need to do, only how do I buy the replacement speaker?By the way, I have already tried uninstalling the audio driver and restarting to have Windows automatically reinstall it. That hasn't changed it. I think this is a hardware problem.

What is your HP Spectre 15-eb0000 machine ? It should have same speakers as the following machine
HP Spectre x360 Laptop - 15-eb0053dx
You would need Speaker kit part # L95647-001 which is N/A from HP Part Stores
https://partsurfer.hp.com/partsurfer?searchtext=%20L95647-001
Please use part # and search elsewhere such as Amazon, Newegg .... or eBay
Regards.

When I cracked open the laptop to try to replace the speaker, I discovered that there is a magnet inside the laptop which had come out of its slot and had been attracted onto the part of the speaker that vibrates and that is what had muffled the sound.
I don't know what the magnet does but there is one in each speaker.
After I put the manget back into its place, the speaker sounded normal again.
I didn't need to replace it after all!
But unfortunately, I lost one of the screws holding the laptop case together in the process of re-assembly and thanks to my bad eyesight, I will probably never find it again. When something that small falls on the floor, it might as well have been dropped in the lake.
