HP ProBook 460 16 inch G11 Notebook PC (8Z679AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

I have a user who has an HP ProBook 460 16 inch G11 Notebook PC with a HP USB-C Dock G5.   Attached to it is a Logitech C925e Webcam which he uses for video and microphone.

In the past week, his microphone stopped working on the webcam.   We have updated all of his drivers and firmware for the laptop, dock, and Logitech webcam.   However, his issues continued.   We also tried replacing the HP G5 dock, but the issue continued.

I'm wondering if others have experienced this issue with a similar webcam and what the resolution was?

Hello @Andejo55 ,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

According to Logi, there are no drivers required for that camera and it works with USB-A. That means it is USB type 2 and not USB-3. However, it should have shown up the device manager.

Look in the "Universal Serial Bus devices" of the device manager for any reference to camera.

You may need to enabled "Show Hidden Devices"

Are there any error icons displayed in the Device Manager?

Try the control panel trouble shooter for cameras?

Download this logi software

it may refuse to install with the message "camera not found" which indicated the USB driver is not loaded or has a problem.
