Surely it must be possible to just reinstall the sound system rather than have to rest the whole computer?

(1) Download and install

HP Support Assistant (Microsoft Apps Store)

or

HP Support Assistant 9.19.52.0

 

(2) Start <HP Support Assistant>

Section <Fixes & Diagnostics>
- Fix audio issues

Support Assistance is of no help, just tells you that you have no sound installed.

Hello @lundavra 

 

You are dealing with Windows 11 and <HP> only offers drivers for Windows 10:

Software and drivers for HP ENVY - 17-ce0576na

 

Please seek help in a Microsoft forum or run the HP Cloud Recovery as already suggested. I can't offer you any other solution at the moment.
