Hey guys, my Omen 15 was from 2018 and this seems to be a long on-going audio issue of the volume going down after few seconds of media playback. Had tried all audio drivers from (https://support.hp.com/my-en/drivers/selfservice/omen-by-hp-15-dc0000-laptop-pc-series/20329817/mode... and none of it seems to work properly. There are also various other posts of adjusting the sound enhancement or loudness equalization but the option is not available for me. The posts are mostly outdated and driver versions are way older then the latest ones.
In addition, I notice that I tend to have ghost button registered specifically on the brightness (F1,F2) keys and airplane mode (Insert) keys. Which changes the brightness or turn on airplane mode by itself. I can't help but notice these buttons are located above the CPU and GPU which heats up and the ghost buttons only happens when gaming (60 ~ 80 degree Celsius of temp). Are there any solutions for these issues?
Thanks in advance.
P.S. Had updated everything from Windows Updates and HP Support to the latest versions.

I reviewed your post and I understand that the volume reduces randomly when you are playing media.
Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.
I recommend you install the BIOS and the System Event Utility from the below link and check if it helps.
BIOS: https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp107001-107500/sp107335.exe
System Event Utility: https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp88001-88500/sp88257.exe
For the audio issue, I recommend you run the audio troubleshooter from the HP support assistant and it will automatically find and fix the audio related issues.
Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

Hi there,
I have already tried re-installing and installed all latest drivers and updates to no avail. Audio troubleshooter shows that there are no issues but it still persists.
There are also the issue of ghost button registration on the "Brightness Up" button.
Thank you.

I recommend you perform a system restore back to the date when everything was working fine on the computer.
Refer to the below article for detailed steps.
