I got it from Amazon few months ago and pretty much happy with it.
However I have one issue. The speaker volume is too low. Not sure if it is sound driver issue or something else.
Running 64 bit Win-10.
Please help!

Hi @DDude,
Thanks for visiting the HP community. 🙂 A very good day to you! 🙂 I read the post regarding audio issues with the computer where the volume is low.I will be delighted to assist you here.
You’ve done an excellent job on diagnosing the issue from your end. Superb effort and spectacular troubleshooting. Kudos to you on that score. We greatly value your relationship with HP.
You are a valued HP customer and we appreciate you greatly for doing business with HP. I take it as a privilege to share this platform with you.
For better clarity and to assist you better, I would require more information regarding this:
- Did this happen after a software or windows update?
- Did you try a different headset to isolate the issue further?
For starters please try these steps and check if it resolves the issue.
- Please try with a different headset first or external speakers and play multiple music tracks. If the volume is good on the external speakers, then please contact Hp phone support to get the speakers replaced as it could be a speaker issue here.
If the output on the headset or external speakers is low then try to uninstall and reinstall the audio drivers from device manager.
- Right-Click on start button> click device manager> expand sound video and game controllers>then select the sound drivers and right-click on it and uninstall the audio drivers. Then check the box delete the software for this device.
- Then restart the computer and update the bios, chipset and audio drivers from this link: http://hp.care/2syreDe and follow the on-screen instructions after selecting the correct operating system.
- Then check if the situation has been corrected.
Solution 1:
- Right-click the speaker icon in the Taskbar and select 'Playback Devices'.
- Left click the default device once to highlight it ( it's usually 'speakers & headphones' ) then click the Properties button.
- Click the Enhancements tab and put a tick in the box next to 'Loudness Equalization'.
- Click Apply to save the change and then click OK in all remaining windows and see if this has helped at all.
Solution 2:
- Right-click the speaker icon in the Taskbar and select 'Playback Devices'.
- Select the Communications tab up the top.
- By default ‘when windows detects communications activity’ is set to ‘Reduce the volume of other sounds by 80%’.
- Change this to ‘Do nothing’.
- Press OK.
If it still continues, please try these steps:
Hope this helps. Let me know how it goes. To simply say thanks, please click the "Thumbs Up" button to give me a Kudos to appreciate my efforts to help. If this helps, please mark this as “Accepted Solution” as it will help several others with the same issue to get it resolved without hassles.
Take care and have a blessed week ahead. 🙂
Cheers!

Thanks for the reply. I tried multiple options but this is finally what worked for me
I first DISABLED the existing Realtec audio driver in Device Manager. Then I downloaded the latest Realtec audio driver from HP support site. Then I ran the downloaded executable file, which was an automatic 2 stage process. In the 1st stage, the downloaded file removed the existing Disabled Realtec audio driver and in the 2nd stage, it installed the latest HD Realtec audio driver. Restarted the machine and all worked fine.
