Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

very frustrated, the audio was working perfectly until yesterday,  after windows update now won't go louder than about 40-50% even though the slider is at 100%.  Audio jumps up periodically when watching youtube but for the majority of the time it is so low that it's inaudible. Volume is low across all programs, music player, chrome, Netflix etc. Tried switching driver to HD Audio Device restarting and then switching back to realtek, this didn't work. I've ticked turn off 'sound enhancements'  box, that didn't work also.  Ran the hp audio diagnostic tool and nothing flagged up.  Currently running latest drivers no updates are available after the scan. Running out of ideas now, really need some help!!??

Please do a clean install Audio software/driver, this should help.

(a) Download the following driver and save on your computer,
              https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp100001-100500/sp100144.exe
(b) Go to Device Manager, Sound to uninstall sound driver (Realtek) and reboot,
(c) Right click downloaded file and select Run as administrator,
(d) Reboot again.

Regards.
