I recently upgraded from windows 8.1 to 10 and I can barely hear my audio now. I'm using hp envy 17 with beats. How might I fix this?

Hi:
The only suggestion I can offer would be to try this W10 IDT audio driver from a newer model notebook.
IDT High-Definition (HD) Audio Driver
6.10.6492.0
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp71501-72000/sp71886.exe
Restart the PC after installing the driver.
Sometimes this driver will set the PC headphone jack as the default output device.
So, if you end up having no sound, go the Windows control panel>hardware and sound>sound>manage audio devices and set the PC speakers as the default audio output.
