I tried installing Realtek sound driver from its official website. The driver got installed but 'could not load'. Please find attached a screenshot from the device manager.

Hi:
Your notebook has the IDT audio, not the realtek audio.
The only suggestion I can offer, would be to install the W8.1 IDT audio driver from your notebook's support page, restart the PC and see if that helps.
This package contains the driver that enables the IDT High-Definition (HD) Audio in supported notebook models that are running a supported operating system.
