Product Name: HP 840 G1
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
1st, Button still works, but the light is does not turn off.when press of mute.you all can refer to the attachment.
2nd . Mute function key is not working.

Hi,
Try reinstalling the IDT HD Audio software package on the following link - this will often correct issues with the function of the mute button/led.
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp65501-66000/sp65631.exe
When the reinstallation has completed, restart the notebook.

Hi,
