Microsoft Windows 11

Hello,

I purchased an HP Envy x360 2-in-1 Laptop 16t-ac000 a few months ago and have been experiencing issues with both wired and wireless microphones. Whenever I connect headphones or a headset, my voice breaks and sounds robotic during meetings. I have tried updating the drivers, but this has not resolved the issue. The laptop’s built-in microphone works fine, and the problem only occurs with external audio peripherals.

As a result, I am forced to use the laptop’s speaker and microphone for meetings, which is quite inconvenient. I am thinking it is not a driver issue but rather a hardware issue.

Pease try a clean install Audio driver

   1. Download https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp131501-132000/sp131797.exe

                     and save on your computer
   2. Use Device Manager to uninstall audio driver (if any),
   3. Reboot machine,
   4. Install downloaded file above,
   5. Reboot machine.

Hope this helps.

Regards

BH
