  4. Click Troubleshoot to detect and fix issues automatically.

Check App Permissions

  1. Open Settings > Privacy & security.
  2. Scroll down to Microphone.
  3. Ensure Microphone access is turned on.
  4. Make sure WhatsApp and other apps have microphone access enabled.

Update or Reinstall Audio Drivers

  1. Press Win + X > Device Manager.
  2. Expand Audio inputs and outputs.
  3. Right-click on Microphone > Update driver > Search automatically.
  4. If the issue persists, right-click > Uninstall device, then restart your laptop.

Set Microphone as Default Device

  1. Right-click on the Sound Icon in the taskbar > Sound settings.
  2. Click More sound settings (under Related settings).
  3. Go to the Recording tab.
  4. Right-click on your Microphone > Set as Default Device.
  5. Click Properties > Levels tab > Ensure the microphone volume is not muted.

Check WhatsApp Settings

  1. Open WhatsApp.
  2. Go to Settings > Privacy > Microphone.
  3. Ensure WhatsApp has permission to use the microphone.

Test the Microphone

  1. Open Voice Recorder (Windows app) and try recording audio.
  2. If it doesn't work, test with Google Meet or Zoom to see if the microphone works in other apps.

If the issue persists, let me know what steps you’ve tried, and I can suggest further troubleshooting! 😊

Take care, and have an amazing day!
