Hi @RamonV,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If the microphone volume is consistently low across multiple microphones and the audio drivers appear to be working fine according to your system, there could be a few potential issues causing this problem. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try.
Check Microphone Settings: Ensure that the microphone volume is not turned down or muted in the system settings. You can usually adjust the microphone volume in the sound settings of your operating system.
Update Audio Drivers: Even if your system says the drivers are working fine, it's possible that updating them could resolve the issue. Visit the website of the manufacturer of your audio device or motherboard to download and install the latest drivers.
Check Physical Connections: Make sure your microphone is properly connected to the correct port on your PC. If you're using a USB microphone, try connecting it to a different USB port.
Test Microphones on Another Device: Try using the microphones on another device to determine if the issue is with the microphones themselves or with your PC.
Disable Exclusive Mode: Sometimes, exclusive mode can cause issues with microphone volume. To disable exclusive mode:
- Right-click on the speaker icon in the system tray and select "Sounds."
- Go to the "Recording" tab.
- Right-click on your microphone and select "Properties."
- Go to the "Advanced" tab and uncheck the box next to "Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device."
- Click "OK" to apply the changes.
Check for Software Interference: Certain software applications, such as voice chat programs or recording software, may be adjusting the microphone volume automatically. Make sure that no such software is interfering with your microphone settings.
Perform a System Restore: If the issue started recently, you could try restoring your system to a point before the problem occurred. This can help revert any recent changes that may have caused the issue.
By following these steps, you should be able to diagnose and potentially fix the low microphone volume issue on your Victus By HP 15L Gaming Desktop PC.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

Thanks for the relpy! I have not done a system restore and could not figure out how to find the driver updates for the Nvidia High Definition Driver Verison 1.3.40.14 without using the built in check on windows. Could not find anthing on the Manufactor website. I do have a NVIDIA Virtual Audio Device WDM and Realtek which is what the mircophone seems to be using n the properties section of the sound tab. I did do everything else and it does not seem to have changed it much. Now volume is around 15%.
