I have recently purchased a couple of ZBook Firefly 14 laptops. A couple of my users are having issues with the internal microphone. When they are in meetings, there is a small delay before the Mic picks up what they are saying. This means that for the first 2-3 seconds they appear to be on mute and then the mic will pick up and start broadcasting what they are saying.

This is not a synch issue. When the users can be heard, everything is normal - it is just that the first couple of seconds is always cut off. This happens every time that they begin to talk making a 2 way conversation extremely difficult.

I have tried to uninstall the driver - I can remove the hardware but there is no option to uninstall the driver, only the device. When I look for driver details, it states that no driver files are required or have been loaded for the device..

The device is 'Microphone Array (Intel Smart Sound Technology for Digital Microphones).

I have done a completely clean install of Windows 11, stripping all of the bloatware - are there any functionality tools that I may need to reinstall?
