Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi

I have a brand new x360 notebook, and the microphone level from both the internal microphone and the headset plugged into the 3,5 mm jack is low. The internal is better than the external, which is almost useless.

Sound level in settings is maximum for both.

When I look at the bargraphs in sound setting, there is only 1-2 bars reacting at speak.

I also have a Jabra headset for USB connection, and when using that, I can se full bar graph level when speaking.

I searched the internet and found information about the HP Audio Control app, which was already installed, but the app only start with the blue startup screen, and the terminates with no error.

Windows 10 is updated to version 20H2, and I have run a full driver update from HP support assistant, incl BIOS update.

I have tried uninstalling the HP Audio Control app, and reinstalling the complete audio driver package from HP support assistant, but nothing changes.

UPDATE:

The PC was at my work, and the IT department had installed an "N" version of windows 10, which we found out is limited to more than the media player features.

After upgrading to a full PRO version, the Audio control is running, but we still have the low level problem, especially with the external microphone.
