Microphone mute button (F8) button not working

I have a HP PC 15-fc0000 which has microsoft array (AMD Audio Devices), the F8 button which is microphone mute button is not working, however the microphone is on, but it doesn't mute the mic

  • Right-click on the Start button and select Device Manager.
  • Locate and expand the Sound, video and game controllers section.
  • Right-click on the AMD Audio Devices and select Update driver.
  • Choose Search automatically for updated driver software and follow the prompts to complete the update.

Check HP Support Assistant:

• Use the HP Support Assistant software to check for any updates or troubleshooting steps specific to your laptop model. You can download it from the HP website if it's not installed.

System Updates:
