HP Envy x360
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I had a problem with zoom that the ohter people in the meeting were not able to hear my voice.

However, My microphone is working and I confirmed it using the voice recorder.

I found the solution by myself hence I thought it might be useful for everyone.

I used the following:

  1. Go to Audio settings in zoom
  2. Next to “Test Mic” button you will see a menu with the list of values.  I saw that the value “Stereo Mix (Realtek® Audio)” was chosen. I changed this to “Internal Microphone(AMD Audio Device)

Hurray!! All worked.  My laptop is AMD hence I choose this option.  Based on your laptop configuration choose the right device. You should be all set.  I hope it may help somebody
