HP Pavilion 14 Laptop PC 14-ec1000 (4V212AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

So my notebook (still on warranty) will not detect the internal microphone for any of the apps installed (zoom, whatsapp, softphones, skype, etc) except Google chrome. I have allowed permission on the apps and I have tried everything to fix this issue but will not work, connected with HP Support on WhatsApp but no luck and I cannot spare the time to get this laptop to the service center. Somebody, kindly help me fix this issue.

I see that you are facing microphone issues with your HP Pavilion 14 Laptop PC 14-Ec1000 (4V212AV).

 

Please follow the steps from this document. (Click on the word document to open the web page).

 

Note: Even though the steps are mentioned for Windows 10, it works for Windows 11 also.

 

You may also update the drivers from HP Support Assistant by following this document. (Click on the word document to open the web page).
