SS Device Manager1.pngSS Microphone.pngIn short, my microphone doesnt pick up my voice but it will show activity when i play a video or any sound created by laptop.. I am able to test in "Record" and it will record the video/audio im playing (on youtube, etc) but not my voice. I just bought 8 of these laptops and there all doing the same thing. I attached a picture of my microphone being active during an audio/video.. I can mute- unmute.( But, my issue is the microphone not picking up my voice) ..I also noticed under other device manager there is some warning symbols attached picture... Thanks in advance.

Windows 11.

So, I did all the basic troubleshooting functions to make sure the microphone works. Please see listed:

New Driver download'   Realtek  HD audio driver and updated

BIOS updated

All general microphone settings enabled or allowed.

Control panel - Recording updated /enabled/ and volume up.

Went extreme and was advised to reinstall OS ( done)

Device manager- auto input output shows Enabled and visible.

Did all troubleshooting software/programs and shows no issues

I am at a loss and I am heading to an HP approved tech locally to resolve but these computers are brand new w/ warranty. Just turned them all on a few days ago. I feel like its a simple fix but I am just missing something.

Everything up to date to my knowledge. I had a few techs log into my laptop and they could not figure it out ( Microsoft & HP)

Your picture shows Stereo Mix as input device, with microphone array it should work.

Can you help me find the download for the microsoft array for my laptop?.. I noticed that there wasnt a microphone available . I figured it was the Stereo mix with this new OS...   I googled the download but there wasnt really any clear way of finding it.

Also, I checked to show disabled and the other option.. the only thing that shows up is the Stereo mix in device manager/options i believe it was.

The microphone array should appear under Audio inputs and outputs in the device manager. Some drivers are not or not completely installed, probably graphics drivers and Realtek audio drivers. There are relatively new drivers here.
