Product: HP ENVY 17.3 inch Laptop PC 17-cr0000 IDS Base Model
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

Multiple issue with this just unboxed Envy 17.  1) Sound is muffled (as if listening through a wet towel).  I've updated all drivers and done all diagnostics that I can find online.  There is sound and but it is very poor quality.  It only is coming from the bottom of the laptop.   2) There is light bleed in certain spots of the monitor i.e. black screen has white bleeding through around the edges in places.  3) The lap top is scorching hot on my bare legs in use.  Seems unreasonably hot.  Thermal tests and fan tests passed, but still seems too hot to be right.  Other nuisance issues 4) Screen is super glossy.  4) power cord USBc is "cantilevered" which means it is under a lot of tension.  Can't imagine it will last.
