Hi,
You're welcome
The functionality of the mute led is provided by the audio software, so i'd try reinstalling the latest Realtek package HP list for you notebook on the following link.
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp82501-83000/sp82669.exe

Hi,
Try the following.
Hold down the Windows key and press R
Into the Run window, type devmgmt.msc and hit enter.
In Device Manager, expand Sound, Video and Game Controllers. Right click the Realtek device and select Uninstall device - Do not enter a check mark in the box to remove the current driver and proceed with the uninstall.
When this has completed, click on 'Action' in the toolbar and select 'Scan for hardware changes'.
Give this a minute or so to complete and then check the funtion of the mute led.

DP-K

Thanks a lot Solution worked. Amazed because I regularly on a weekly basis use The HP Support Assistant programme and it didn't show any updates for the audio but clearly from your advice I did not have the latest drivers
Anyway alls well that ends well so thank you again. Seems to be working now.

Hi! Yesterday I've done all the steps and it's true it was working.
But today I've done the "clean boost" and the problems comes back.
I have the file in my downloads, can I do again the installation? Because it says that it must overwrite all the files.
Thank you so much for the attention.

No okay, i've solved. I put the tick on realtek (in the clean boost) and now the led works! With the clean boost, the realtek device was shotted down, and, putting the tick, I have boot up it.
Thanks anyway 😄
