Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

The mute button appears stuck on and the volume monitor is constantly on the screen. I can hold the up volume button down and the sound works, but as soon as I release the volume up button, the volume returns to zero and the mute button goes on. I have updated the audio driver and the bios. Any other ideas?

Since you have already updated the Audio Driver and BIOS, I suggest you contact HP Support in your region for Service Options

 

1) Click on this link - www.hp.com/contacthp/ 
2) Select your product type below.
3) Enter the serial of your device. 
4) Select the country from the drop-down. 
5) Select the chat or get phone number options based on your preferences. 
6) Fill the web-form and proceed further.
