Here I recommend several ways to fix your problems.
- Check the Volume and Mixer
Firstly, what you need to do is to check if accidentally mute the volume or Chrome browser in Volume Mixer.
- Restart Windows Audio Service
Sometimes, the sound issue may come out of Windows audio fault.
- Unmute A Specific Site in Chrome
If you are surfing a specific site, like Youtube or Spotify, the sound can't play while other websites can. It is probably that you mute it with one click or two by accident.
- Enable Sound for All Websites
In Chrome browser, there is a native setting in which you can add a website to blacklist or whitelist for sound playing.
I hope these ways are available in your laptop.
