Re: My HP laptop audio got a big problem

Hi,

OK, the problem seems to be with Conexant smart audio. We are going to disable it at startup so that it no longer causes this problem.

Click on start and write msconfig in search box and click on result.

In msconfig go to the startup tab and search for "Smart audio cpl" or something similar and remove the tick in the checkbox in front of this entry. Click on apply and OK. Reboot the computer and the problem should no longer be present.

Hope it helps,

David

Re: My HP laptop audio got a big problem

Hi,

Can you please list all the programs which are in the list to startup with windows.

You can always try one if you are not sure which one it is. If it does not help after rebooting just go into msconfig and put the tick back in the checkbox, apply, reboot  and it will be back in startup.

Let me know,

David

It takes a while for me to be able to see the picture on this forum, so I'll see once the picture is active.

Re: My HP laptop audio got a big problem

Hi,

While we are waiting for the picture. Can you go into msconfig like before and go to the tab services. In the bottom left corner tick hide all Microsfot services. Now, in the list which remains in the Window is ther a smart audio service?

Let me know,

David
