@Alinaa12, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you're experiencing sound issues on your HP laptop after uninstalling the Realtek (R) Audio driver. Let's work together to restore your audio.

Check Windows Audio Settings

  1. Right-click the sound icon in the taskbar and select "Sounds".
  2. Go to the Playback tab.
  3. Ensure Realtek (R) Audio or Speakers (Realtek) is set as the Default Device.
  4. Click Properties > Levels and make sure the volume is up and not muted.

Reinstall the Realtek Audio Driver Manually

Since the automatic reinstall didn’t work, let’s install the driver manually:

  1. Visit the official HP Software & Driver Downloads page: Official HP® Support
  2. Enter your HP laptop model number (you can find it on a sticker on the bottom of your laptop or in System Information).
  3. Select your Windows version.
  4. Under Driver - Audio, download the latest Realtek High-Definition (HD) Audio Driver.
  5. Install the driver and restart your laptop.

Run HP Support Assistant

HP Support Assistant can automatically detect and fix many issues:

  1. Download or open HP Support Assistant:
HP Support Assistant | HP® Support
  2. Go to the "Troubleshooting and Fixes" section.
  3. Run the Audio Check tool.

Run Windows Troubleshooter

  1. Go to Settings > System > Sound.
  2. Scroll down and click "Troubleshoot" under Output.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

Please click “Accepted Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution. Select "Yes" on the bottom left to say “Thanks” for helping!
