I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble with your HP laptop's audio. Let's try a few troubleshooting steps to get it working again:
Check Volume Settings:
- Right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar.
- Select "Open Sound settings" and ensure the volume is not muted or set too low.
Run the Audio Troubleshooter:
- Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot.
- Select "Playing Audio" and run the troubleshooter.
Update Audio Drivers:
- Open Device Manager.
- Expand "Sound, video and game controllers".
- Right-click your audio device and select "Update driver".
Reinstall Audio Drivers:
- In Device Manager, right-click your audio device and select "Uninstall device".
- Restart your laptop, and Windows should reinstall the driver automatically.
Check Sound Settings:
- Go to Control Panel > Sound.
- Ensure your audio device is set as the default playback device.
