D0Y12EA -
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Please, can someone do this.

I am looking for a windows 10 compatible, creator fall update compatible driver for my-

Dolby Advanced Audio (v2) driver.

Since Windows 10 has been beating up the audio drivers and replacing it with universal ones from M$, I have become embarrassed to mention my audio to others (even when it is printed on the speakers of my laptop).

I don't need DD drivers that doesn't work (which are the windows 8.1, windows 8 ones that worked once upon a time) on the drivers page; but I need something that is HAPPY to work in WINDOWS 10 AND is anything Dolby.

Downgrading the OS is not an option because a good chunk of my programs have already moved on, so to speak. It has gone to the stage that every update any "recommended" but out-dated DD audio drivers installed gets removed like it never existed. TF?

Please remedy this plight of mine and you'd have my grace. The dang fangled internetz is no help.

I have the model: D0Y12EA (i.e. HP Pavilion g6 Notebook PC); It has been working supremely with changes I throw at it, just the audio is lacking too far behind.

Hi,

Try the IDT HD Audio Software package on the following link.

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp63501-64000/sp63555.exe

When the installation has completed, resttart the notebook.

Kudos to you for a speedy response. Indeed it does seem to grasp similarly as previous drivers have. Though, I miss the missing Dolby Advanced Audio software that used to come with the package. Is there any other ideas you can suggest? Otherwise, I'll consider that as the best answer.

Hi,

You're more than welcome :generic:

As far as I'm aware, the IDT software package I linked to previously is the latest one HP have released.
