Hi, my laptop keeps turning off the sound. I'm not pressing any button or anything. It just keeps muting the whole sound system. It's very irritating since I play a lot of games with my friends and suddenly I can't hear them, they can't hear me and I can't hear the sound of the games.

That probably due to Windows updates. Re-install driver should help. Please try

(a) Download the following driver and save on your computer,

HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads

(b) Go to Device Manager, Sound to uninstall sound driver and reboot,
(c) Right click downloaded file and select Run as administrator,
(d) Reboot again.

Regards.

I don't seem to get what you mean by uninstalling driver, since in device manager, Sound I only find my old microphone, my speaker and my headset. Are thos drivers? Should I uninstall them?
