The media players installed in my laptop have suddenly begun fast forwarding songs and videos automatically. They are eventually switching to " the next song " consequently. What problem might this be? I have already reset my pc but it didnt work out.
Please Suggest.

Thank you for posting on HP Forums,
Riddle_Decipher is at your service.
As I Understand the media players are auto fast forwarding,
No worries, as I'll be glad to help you, that said, I'll need a few more details to dissect your concern & provide an accurate solution:
Which media players have you been using?
Did you try the VLC media player? (personally, I feel that it works great & it's free on google, if you don't have it, give that a shot)
Did you ensure there aren't any keys stuck on your keypad as that could cause this issue as well?
While you respond to that, I recommend you reinstall the media players, update the BIOS and video card drivers from HP: Click here to update
And if the issue persists, check if it occurs online while playing media on YouTube as well.
Let me know how that pans out
I hope you have a good day ahead,
And Feel free to ask any other queries as well,
Considering, this forum has some of the best people in the world available and ready to help.

Thank you for responding,
It's great to have you back 😉
I would like to know if you've updated the video card drivers as advised previously, If you have and it didn't do the trick, I recommend a BIOS and Chip-set update followed by checking if the same works fine on safe-mode to understand what's causing the issue.
Also, I would request you to obtain the error message that appears so that we can work on resolving it accordingly.
Do get back to me as I have a few more tricks up my sleeve,
That said, If I have helped you resolve the issue,
feel free to give me a virtual high-five by clicking the 'Thumbs Up' icon
followed by clicking on 'Accepted as Solution'
And Have a great day Ahead!
