My laptop
HP Pavilion x360 Convertible 14-dy0053TU (3X8X2PA)
upgraded few days back.
Post that microphone is not detecting any sound.
I tried rolling back, installing and re-installing drivers, but microphone does not detect any sound.
Intel Smart Sound Technology Driver 10.29.0.6590 installed.

It seems like your microphone stopped working after upgrading your HP Pavilion x360.
first check your privacy settings by going to Settings > Privacy > Microphone. Make sure that Allow apps to access your microphone is turned on and that the app you're using has permission to access the microphone.
Next, right-click the sound icon on the taskbar and select Open Sound settings. Under Input, see if your microphone is listed. If not, click Troubleshoot and follow the steps. If it’s listed, ensure it’s selected as the default input device.
Running the Audio Troubleshooter in Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot can also help fix any microphone issues.
Lastly, test your microphone in another app, like Voice Recorder or a video call app, to see if the problem is app-specific.
