HP Envy 13
Microsoft Windows 11

I have just bought a new HP envy 13 having had a great run with my old one.

However this new computer doesn't work well with recording from my Rodecaster pro with Audacity - it keeps klipping off the beginning or the end of words.

When I record directly to the Rodecaster Pro hard drive this doesn't happen - so something is going wrong when its interfacing with my computer.

Do I have a setting set wrong somewhere?

i've also tried it with a differency usb cable and Adobe Audition - the bad sound quality is the same...

SO the speaker test was fine but it doesn't seem to recognise the internal microphones - could this be causing the issue with the external mics as well?

Okay thanks for your help.

But what a rigmarole!

This is a brand new machine. It should just work right?

I was such a big fan of HP computers - I no longer am.

Think I'm going to go to customer services and get my money back..
