I saw the response. I would like to help. Please provide the model# of the unit. I would check for drivers and it may take some research but I will get back to you and keep you posted as to what needs to be done.

Because if it is, then this is the HP Pavilion dv7 - 4166sf
If it is any other number or code,or mark
Then please show me ,where to look on the computer,
And here I thought that i given up on the whole thing. again i'm angle.

I did ask you for the computer's model#. Thanks for the quick response. I understand that IDT audio is missing.

 

Please check this link out and see if you could download the driver from here and install it.

 

First, uninstall the previous IDT audio driver and then do not restart the computer.

 

Then download and install the driver from this link: http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/swd/public/detail?swItemId=ob_112039_1&swEnvOid=4058#tab5

 

I hope this does the trick for you and the issue gets resolved without hassles. 🙂 Please keep me informed about it.

Thanks a lot, buddy, you're the first one to take something.
Yes it is a driver that I otherwise i am installing as well (sp46918)
Both drivers are fine and I have sound. This first (sp59291) is now something
will, reports some errors, it is likely to result, overcrowding system.
In any case, I have a sound which is otherwise great as I expected.
But the ultimate goal was this.

This normally is not my image
but I once managed to set up the control panel,
because there  was dolby and asio settings
so I thought I have a better sound.
It is obvious that this is a mission impossible, and that I should be happy that I have the sound at all, how things stand.
And that is that. I have the sound as it is, and the studio will be sure to connect the
external soundcard, so i'll probably have a better setup.

I reviewed the post. Thanks for everything. I understand where you come from. 🙂 I just would request you to try the software package just to check if the options come back without a  reinstallation of windows which will need to be done as a last resort after backing up your files only if you decide to do it. You've done great yourself. Hats off to you on that score. 🙂
