Ok Audio stopped working with "No Audio Device is Installed" and looked at a few of the posts and followed the sugested fixes with no effect.
re installed the drivers sp112265.exe and followed https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_3913422-3266884-16. Well followed it until it is asking do do a Windows reinstall or recovery.
I can fix it by plugging in a USB to Headphone adapter - I then get sound over the head phones.
Just dont want to reinstall Windows it will be such a hassle and wondering whether the Audio/SD card board is at fault?
This is what my device manager looks like at the moment - after deleting the audio hardware and actioning looking for hardware changes. One of the devices obviously not reconised now as audio.

hi
sorry i see :
Operating systems:
Windows 10 version 2004 (64-bit)
if so, maybe that's why it doesn't work anymore.
try this one
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp131501-132000/sp131797.exe
https://ftp.ext.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp131501-132000/sp131797.html
but a high probability of failure
I don't know if I can find better

Hi - I switched over to windows 11 several months ago - audio has been working fine until two days ago when it just stopped. However after installing your driver sugestion I now see the following and the sound works even though there appeats to still be an error on the "Intel High Definition Audio"
So Thanks!

hi @DavecV
intel audio driver must be associated with intel graphics driver
for HDMI sound
But may not be useful since you have the NVidia driver and card
You can test this one
Intel High-Definition (HD) Graphics Driver | 30.0.101.1029 Rev.A | 662.1 MB | Mar 8, 2022 | Download |
it comes from this series
https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/omen-15.6-inch-gaming-laptop-pc-15-ek1000/2100045552
same processor as you here

Now device manager shows everything working, however there is not sound.
Windows audio trouble shooter shows no problems
HP assist Audio trouble shooter shows no problems.
NOTE the nividia sound is output through the HDMI port.

I had understood that it worked just before with the installation of realtek?
If I understand you are telling me that the audio is configured on nvidia audio?
open audio settings and select realtek default if not

Hi - Sorry for confusion - the NIVIDIA gaming sound is output through the HDMI normal apps and browsers through realteck so settings looks like this. Which all looks normal apart from the fact no sound is coming out of the speakers.

hi
ok but
"However after installing your driver sugestion I now see the following and the sound works even "
here, did you say it works?
from the moment you installed the intel, it no longer worked, or something else?
if you click on test, do you see the bar move?
" the NIVIDIA gaming sound is output through the HDMI normal apps "
I don't understand exactly, but you shouldn't use NVIdia
is it like this?

Hi - Sorry we are getting confused.
Nividia is NOT being used - only used for gaming and is output via the HDMI
Output of Sound for APPs System and browsers is via Realtek
Originally above both Intel and Realtek disabled NO SOUND - was using Audio sp112265
Applied sp131797 (Win 11 sound) and realtek started working SOUND AVAILABLE
Applied sp138722 (Intel) device became available and NO SOUND
Sound Output in Setting is
INTEL DRIVERS ARE
Realtek Drivers are
Thanks for your help
