I know man, same here, I reset once, and then two more times using a USB drive figuring there was something else wrong.

It'll be under System Devices in the Device manager, towards the Bottom.  Look for the first one that starts with Intel and has SST in the name.  You'll find it.  There were two towards the bottom of the System Devices part, I only messed with the first one and it fixed my problem.

I downloaded the Realtec driver as suggested, and the audio did indeed come back... for about five minutes. Now it's gone again.

he took me though a similar path but with more steps works good now...
