Hi @Anson5902

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

I understand the concern. Since the sound was working previously and stopped after recent updates, and you've already reinstalled the audio drivers, updated them from HP, and worked through the common troubleshooting steps, I appreciate the time you've already spent narrowing this down.

To help us focus on the most relevant HP troubleshooting path, could you please share:

• The exact HP notebook model number
• Your Windows version (Windows 10 or Windows 11)
• Are the notebook speakers affected, headphones affected, or both?
• In Device Manager, do you see any warning symbols next to the audio devices?
• When you click the speaker icon in the Windows taskbar, does the correct playback device appear?

Since you've already completed driver reinstallation, it would also be helpful to know:

• Did the issue begin immediately after a Windows update, BIOS update, or other system update?
• Have you run HP PC Hardware Diagnostics and tested the audio component? If so, what was the result?

Once we have those details, we can provide the most appropriate troubleshooting steps and avoid repeating anything you've already tried.

We're looking forward to helping you get back up and running!

Regards,

Hawks_Eye
