None of the above worked right through installing new drivers from your hp site.  I am stunned that I just paid $900 for a laptop and there is no stereo mix.  It is useless to me for my job without stereo mix.  This is my last HP.  I paid $300 for a Dell and everything was installed. I didn't have to go searching for drivers.  Here's the system info:
