HP doesn't seem to have a driver update that works for Windows 11, The webpage for drivers related to my laptop only has Windows 10 in the dropdown menu. Is HP going to made a driver upgrade that will work in Windows 11? Do I have to go nuclear and reinstall Windows 10?

Hi @szorrer,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your concern regarding the driver you're looking for!

That sounds like a tricky situation, like trying to put on a shoe that just won’t fit! 😅

While HP strives to keep devices up to date, some older models may not have official Windows 11 drivers just yet.

But don’t worry, you might not have to roll back to Windows 10 just yet! Let’s explore some options to get things running smoothly. 🚀

1. Check for Driver Updates via Windows Update

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Click on Windows Update (left panel).
  3. Click Check for updates and install any available updates.
  4. Scroll down and click Advanced options > Optional updates.
  5. Look for any driver updates listed under Driver updates and install them.
  6. Restart the PC after the updates are installed.

2. Update Drivers via Device Manager

  1. Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.
  2. Expand the relevant categories (e.g., Display adapters, Network adapters, Audio).
  3. Right-click on the driver you want to update and select Update driver.
  4. Choose Search automatically for drivers and follow the prompts.
  5. Restart your PC after updating the drivers.

After installing the necessary updates, restart the PC and check if everything works as expected.

If Windows 11 is running without major issues, there’s no need to reinstall Windows 10.

Hopefully, we can get things working without a trip back to Windows 10! 🤞

If you need any more help, feel free to reach out, I’m here to make things easier.

Hope I was able to make things easier for you! 😊

If this solved your issue, go ahead and mark it as "Accepted Solution" and hit "Yes"—your feedback keeps us going and helps others too! 👍

Take care and have an amazing day! 🚀
