I have had trouble getting audio from my laptop to any other device by either bluetooth or wifi but I am not going to go into that for the moment because it seems to really get confusing quickly

so...

In order to try to get music from my laptop to my sonos speakers   I downloaded an app called "stream what you hear" in order to try to get audio to my sonos speakers via wifi

 

When I open the sonos app I can see that it is connected to the sonos in "now playing"

I play a selection on the audacity app on my computer and I can hear it on the computer but not through the sonos.

 

Now I will mention again that I have been unable to get sound from my computer to any other wireless device ..

 

I can play audio and  video to tv and sonos speakers through hdmi cord.

i want to have the same thing on my tv and speakers over the wifi

 

It surely seems to be some sort of audio problem in the HP envy

If I could get that single problem fixed, I would be happy.
