Dear forums,
I have recently restored my laptop and cleaned out the drivers(bad mistake). Anyways, everything seems to be fine except that I don't get any sound. I have had this problem forever now and I can't find anyone else with the same problem as me. So, basically, I am chekcing my playback devices and I don't have any drivers installed to let my speakers activate. I have looked on HP's website for audio drivers and they don't have them. I have looked online for my model, and found that it uses DTS sound, which I installed, and didn't do anything. Someone please help me find my sound card so I can install the right drivers and make my speakers work. thank you!

I have fixed the problem! I went into device manager and uninstalled everything. (I basically had nothing except 1 driver that was not working) So since I barely had anyhting, I felt comfortable to uninstlal it all. then, I trouble shooted my sound and it automatically installed the driver of High Definiton Audio Device! So that was all! Weird how it took me many hours...

Please try the following sound software first
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp63501-64000/sp63555.exe
Regards.

@banhien
Deaer banhien,
Thank you for the fast reply and your willingness to assist me! I have currently attempted to install the IDT Audio Driver per the link you sent me and it displayed a message saying:
"The hardare detected is not supported by this IDT software package. The install will be aborted."
Is there anything else I could try? Thank you.
Sincerely,
Bob Jack
