Hello! Honestly for me to come here its because i am desperate, i received this laptop as a hand-me-down from my sister's husband and it came with no sound drives. I've honestly tried everything and ive tried to install every single driver ive found on this support forum but its been impossible. I tried going on Bios to disable smart sound but i never found it, although i did get to confirm that the audio test in Bios did work, however when i came back still nothing. i tried the trouble shoot and it said that it found the drivers but found an error trying to install them. Apparently its the IDT High Definition Audio CODEC and it says "a device attached to th system is not functioning".

I received this laptop some time ago so if a hard reset can fix my problem im all up for it.

Also m sister's husband appears as administration in BIOS so i couldnt run it as an administrator, if i get the password would rthe intel smart audio option appear?

Thank you so much in advice if someone gets to see this!

Banhien hello!

Tried both and a pop up came up saying: "The hardware detected is not supported by this IDT software package. The install will be aborted."

THING IS... i never closed that pop up and the sound started to work? But when i closed it went back to no speakers detected. 5 minutes have passed tho and i have speakers again. Dont really know why its so buggy and if it's going to start acting up again but I guess this worked? Will keep updated, thank you so much!
