HP Pavilion x360 Laptop- 14m-dw0023dx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi, I recently updated my hp pavilion laptop two days ago which is "2023-05 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5026372)" . Shortly after the update, I am experiencing audio problems today where there is no audio output devices found. I troubleshooted the problem and it said "No Devices Connected, Apparently, you don't have any audio device connected to your PC. Please make sure that you have an audio device connected before continuing." So I tried if I needed to update the sound driver, that didn't work. I thought if it was possibly of rolling back the driver but I don't have the option to do it.

So, I tried troubleshooting the problem via using the HP Support Assistant and the audio diagnostics results was "No Speakers Found (Hardware problem detected)" . It was even the same for my microphone "No microphones found (Hardware problem detected)". I went on using the HP virtual agent and tired the following solutions: Reset the BIOS to defaultUpdating the BIOS, and even Downloading/Installing audio Drivers from HP Support site.

All that had I tried, didn't worked. I don't know if there is anybody else experiencing this issue, but, prior performing the update, I was listening to YouTube videos just fine and now I can't hear nothing. My default speakers are Realtek and I don't see them anymore in my audio settings

Thanks in advance to anyone that helps out.

Alright, after many attempts I finally have my audio working again.

For everyone who's still experiencing problems after the Windows 11 update: If you have a triangular caution sign on top/next to a device icon that says Intel High Definition Audio within a category labeled 'Other Devices' as I did from the following previous post I posted, then according to MarshJello's post of the same problem, expand the System Device's menu with the drop-down arrow and find 'Intel Smart Sound Driver' (which should also have a yellow exclamation mark next to the icon). Next, update the driver by right-clicking, then press once it updates, reboot/restart your computer. This should fix the issue as from MarshJello's post: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Audio/No-Audio-Output-Driver-for-HP-Pavilion-x360-Laptop/m-p/...

HP does not supply drivers for Window 11 for the series. Please use

Okay, before I run the exe, I found this within the device manager window: The Intel High Definition Audio has a triangular caution sign on the icon. Should I do anything about this before running the required exe?

I can't view your images. Please try

OR download Windows 10 driver (On my first reply) and reinstall it on your machine
