I switched on my laptop and found that the audio output was null.
I tried toggling the volume to check for the volume sound that is heard when the volume is adjusted, and there was no sound heard.
I went into Windows Sound settings, which won't open for some reason, and the Settings window hung.
I opened YouTube to watch a video, but the video was loading for an unusually long time, and the video screen said "If playback doesn't start shortly, try restarting your device". Then I restarted my device but to no avail.
I tried to troubleshoot the audio problem through Windows Troubleshooter. It did not work for the first time, so I tried troubleshooting it several times, but to no avail.
I then contacted Microsoft Support and they tried to resolve the issue through screensharing, but it did not work out at all.
Then I got to know about HP Support Assist, and I tried to troubleshoot the audio issue.
It took 30 - 45 mins to diagnose the audio problem and fix it, but it was temporary.
The audio worked for some time and then later, the audio issue started once again. The audio output was null.
This issue started on 30th Sept, 9 am (India), and I tried to again troubleshoot it using the HP Support Assist, but it could not solve the problem this time.
I am fed up with this issue, and I can not find a fix anywhere. And yes, I tried to reinstall all the drivers related to audio (Realtek), but to no avail.
Please help!!!
