There is no equalizer for audio. No enhancements page in the device properties. Now realtek hd audio manager. No Bang & Olufsen audio manager. Nothing. I tried installing 3rd party Equalizer APO, which installs but has no effect on the audio. This is very frustrating for something that should be so simple.

Please do a clean install Audio software/driver, this should help.
(a) Download the following driver and save on your computer,
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp104001-104500/sp104223.exe
(b) Go to Device Manager, Sound to uninstall sound driver (Realtek) and reboot,
(c) Right click downloaded file and select Run as administrator,
(d) Reboot again.
B&O should be under HP Audio Switch or HP Audio Control.
Regards.

Thank you. I did the clean install but now I don't know if the HP audio app was already installed or not. None of the normal methods of configuring audio mention or link to the audio app. Clicking the speaker icon in the tray or bringing up audio settings should have a pathway to get to the audio app. I didn't know this app existed until your reply to look for "HP audio app". I doubt that I already had it installed because now a search for "audio" highlights "HP Audio control" as the first option.
